I don’t know about what everyone else sees, hears, feels, thinks, and experiences, but there sure seems to be a lot of angry people out there in the world these days, who are acting out in some very strange way. From what I see, aggressive driving has escalated exponentially. Many more people in other areas of the public arena, such as when out shopping, or when eating out, or just in the neighborhood, all seem to be so pissed off about something major. The people in my neighborhood have always been quite strange, but they are acting severely strange these days (maybe they are not taking the meds they are supposed to be taking). But, I am seeing a strange mass hysteria going on.
Some one might say, “Well, maybe they are justified. We have a shitty, lame-duck president in his second term; the best candidate we have running as the next president is a 46 year-old, freshman senator; we are in an endless war that we should have never gotten involved in; gas prices are just way beyond stupid; and, we are in a recession.”
We have had a shitty president for 7.5 years, and we have had a shitty lame-duck one now for the last 3.5 years. Yes, we are in an endless war (the one on a concept known as “terror”) that we should have never gotten involed in. And yes, Barack Obama is the best candidate we have running. We have had these issues for a really long time, and the anger, which is being taken out on others (otherwise, how would I be able to notice it), is relatively recent. Therefore, I suspect that the gas prices and the “recession” may be the justification for the anger, but nothing justifies taking one’s anger out on others.
I am also a bit skeptical about this so-called “recession.” A recession is defined as a negative growth of a country’s gross domestic product for two consecutive quarter within a given year. I am no economist, so I don’t know if this has occurred or not. However, since this claimed recession started, neither I nor any of the other numerous people that I know, have been affected by this so-called recession. So, maybe I am just not involved, or I just don’t understand what a “recession” is So, I am just not seeing it.
I do, however, see the prices on everything going up. Besides gas, my grocery bill per week has doubled and the numer of groceries have remained the same. I can only imagine the effect of the high prices of everything have had on people, considering wages have most like not equally risen. So, I do get the anger. I just don’t get taking it out on others.
At the same time, the economy is not the REAL problem. The real (or root) problem is the focus we humans have on the concept of money. Our global society has come to worship money as if it were some kind of a God or Goddess. I can only speculate as to whether or not this was intentional by the powers that be. But, to ever successfully get over a recession, or economic hard times, we as a global society, must give up the worship of the almighty dollar. Hell, it’s not even worth a dollar any more. Just do what you need to do to survive. It’s just all gravy, and unecessary, beyond that.
Right on! When money is so important, then money is in short supply, people fret until they rot from the inside because of their negative energy.
We are quickly becoming slaves to an extreme measure.
Families are fragmented. People are alone with themselves and an ass load of worries. No money equals no house, no food, no car (which would be good), no insurance, no doctors, no heat, no water, etc…
When there doesn’t seem to be enough, people get mean and desperate.
Don’t be hate’n.
